I'm dedicated to LED's even though they might not be as good as T5's for growth.(might!) The positives out way the (possible) negative.
I guess I will be be able to answer that question much better in a years time.

The tank is growing out ....(never quick enough!!).Fish and Coral are happy.
Coralline is growing out on the glass panels(which I use as an over-all gauge of biological health) I will post some pics in a few more months to show off a little. I am still using Acro Power at 40 ml per day. I know I can go much higher and I will gradually.

TL; DR: Temperature can alter how that probe reads. I would assume that the probe or the apex do a correction, but I could be wrong or it may not be calibrated properly. oh and the tank is looking really great!!! |

During the day, the corals are photosynthesizing and using up carbon dioxide. Thus, increasing PH. During the day when lights come on, temperature rises due to increase light intensity. At night, when corals are asleep, there's a build up of carbon dioxide with reduces the overall PH. And, when lights turn off, the temperature decreases.
If your put cheato on a reverse light cycle, you can smooth out PH fluctuation. But, not really necessary. |

I use a CA rx and have around the same profile with PH and temperature. Good stuff.

Fresh air in the house has the same result, raises pH by lowering CO2 in the house. Really cool to watch.
