Nice start. What size return pump did you get. I need to replace the one in my 54 and cant decide. Mag 7 or an Eheim in the same GPH range.

I went with the Eheim compact+ 2000. It should give me 5 to 6 times turn over. Most my flow will be from power heads.

How do you guys clean the front glass?
I use a strong magnet on a weekly basis, but over time I am having some build up in the corners, and I cant seem to reach them. Keep in mind, my tank is 30" deep. Any suggestions?

Looks good, just needs water and fish.

Fishnthecorner, I use a scrapper for the corners aside from the reg magnet cleaner

Nice additions Misled. I just added a few guys too, I have to post them too?

What do you guys think is the max bio load for our corner tanks... a 92 in my case?

plywood sump

i'm looking to redo my 92 corner bow thats been set up for about 10yrs and my bigest problem with it is the tiny 20g sump that sits in the aga pine stand so im thinking of basicly turning the stand into the sump, i allready have solid 3/4ply wood on the bottom and sides of the stand that is sealed with west system epoxy that i added to the stand when it was new so it's just a mater of taping the seems with epoxy/glass tape and adding a board or peice of glass across the front and seal the whole thing to form a triangle sump in the stand with room for a filter sock and a good skimmer that won't fit in the little 20g sump i have been forced to use becouse of the shape of this stand.
so has any one else tried building a sump into their corner tank?

I was wondering the same thing. The corner tank club seemed to have slowed down a bit but I'm starting my corner 92 and will hopefully post pics soon.

Hello group, I am just starting the set up of a 116 gallon corner tank (34 X 34 X 30) and I was planning to install two Turbelle nano stream 6055 pumps. Would that be sufficient?

Anyone with experience using a wave box (or two) in a corner tank?

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I am strongly considering a 92 Corner Bow as my next tank. My concerns are sump placement (which I have solved) and distortion.

I accept that curved glass will introduce some distortion, the question is, how much? I would love to have members of the corner club weigh in with their own experiences.

Thanks!!

There is some but not enough to annoy me or other onlookers. The uniqueness of it more than outweigh the distortion in my humble opinion.

The distortion causes problem when taking macro or closeup pictures of the corals which to me is the major downside of a curved glass.

Thanks for the replies!!

Not worried as much about picture taking. More concerned about eye strain when looking at the tank. Willing to tolerate SOME distortion because as windyridge said the uniqueness is a big plus for me. Additionally, room placement is a driving force. Corner takes up less "usable" space in a room compared to a standard tank. Only reason I am hesitant is what use is a beautiful tank if it is uncomfortable to look at?!

True, I can talk good pics of corals at the front of the tank but further back they usually aren't clear. However if you scroll up, my candy cane pic isn't bad and it's not in the front. I have others if you want to see on my build thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...9#post22046069

Beautiful tank Windyridge!!

I think I'm fairly sold on a corner bow. Now the challenge is finding a stand!!!

Any recommendations?
