Has anyone come across any issues dialing back the WP40 using the e-bay knob device? Mainly looking for some early adopters thave have been using for 3 months or so. I have been running mine at full strength for about 2 months now and think I should dial back a tad.

I had no issues, but I have not been using the LED dimmer this whole time.
I used it for about a month - 1 1/2 months at about 50% on Else mode and it was fine. I think Ron Reefman has been using it dialed back all this time with out a problem.

My power supply is no longer working for the WP40. It was the one that came from the original WP40 box.

Are you certain it's not the cord?
How long have you had it?

Heads up. Reefers direct cancelled my order because of lawsuit threats. They were not "comfortable" telling me from whom the threats came, but I can think of two likely culprits, and i'm sure you all can figure them out on your own. I don't know if "everyone" will buckle under lawsuit threats, but if you are on the fence about ordering, i might advise you do so sooner rather than later.
i don't know if any of this has been covered in the 150 or so pages, but figured if it was, seeing it more than once would be better than not seeing it at all.

i had it for 3 months.
when i tap the power supply with my foot it would work again. most recently it did not turn on again. it would tease me by turning on for a brief second immediately after the tap.

If it is the supply, it sounds like a broken connection.

This is a standard computer power supply cord. If the problem is with the cord or the transformer the light on the transformer would be out or flickering when you tap it with your foot. If the light is solid then the transformer is getting constant power and either the output of the transformer is bad or the controller is bad. To check the output of the transformer use a voltmeter or multimeter and see if it is putting out a consistent 24V. Who did you get the pump from?

http://youtu.be/0hre4cWCxok 100% 100% Add to Cancel Can you guys please revise it and let me know your advice if i should get another WP-40 for the left side to avoid sand blow as you can see at he center of the tank in the final moments of the video..... Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise.... Quote:

Thanks... I am running in Else mode and i am willing to go thru SPS also. The pump is around 5 inches from the top and it's not in the center side because i didn't like the look.
It is really in the back corner angled up and to the other corner. TO be honest i haven't tried Hi neither W1 because i like the flow of the pulsing else mode... Maybe this pic will let you see the angle of the WP-40... 20130717_202804.jpg

wcharon, what is that pump in the middle of your tank back wall that moves from left to right? Is it powered to do that?

Correct. That's a 3/4 Sea Swirl... Excelent piece of equipment.... It helps a lot on the current flow motion. You can configure it to swing 45 or 90 degrees.

Agree. Yesterday i tried the W1 mode with S1 and didn't have the sand blow. The dial knob was half way.
Seems that i am going to stick with one only and change settings betweek Else and W1 mode.... Thanks.... Quote:

Is there any internet store in the US that sells these? I would rather buy in the states and not have to wait 2 weeks for shipping, and I dont want Ebay, because I want a warranty. Has anyone used reefsupplycanada.com to purchase these units?

Got my Wp25. It is great. Kicking my tanks butt on else mode at the slowest setting. Only thing is that sensor is damn small. I could not find it. I either lost it not it was not there. If I am going to keep my controller under my tank is it even worth worrying about getting the sensor?
