Yup that's all I do. Having a sump makes it very convenient. The only pain with the sump is the moving wall in the 1st section. It never stays in place. Also I put my heater in the return section just on a diagonal. Not pretty but seems to work.

Don't raise the water level too much before cutting the power and seeing how you make out.

Sorry slammed I just took a look at my sump. Had the same problem you are having and it clicked. I put the clear wall back to the far side of the sponge. It keeps the water level of the second chamber stable. And you can adjust the return level a little easier.

What skimmer are you using?

That water depth will help you in setting your sump depth.

I have one I'm selling, it's what I used when I had the 10gal sump.
I had it in 8" of water and it worked great with the setting at 1-2.

Shipping would suck, we are on opposite coasts.

I have an extra brand new pump with mine too, good to have a back up.

Added some more rock from old tank that's been in garage in tote with PH. Did peroxide dip to help fight hair algae. Still have 2 large pieces but may keep it simple. Idk

That looks like a 54 corner, not a 92.

54 v 92

that website asks for the height and the length, not length and length...it's a 54 corner tank unless it is 30" tall.

54 v 92

I am not trying to be a pain, just trying to help. If you have the wrong # gallons, this can cause havoc with mixing, filtration, stocking, dosing etc...

A 92 gallon corner (which I own and measured) is not 30" high.

From the corner a 92 gallon tank comes out 34" in both directions and is 24" high.

A 54 gallon corner tank comes out 27" in both directions and is 22" high.

Of course there are more crazy sizes out there too, I will leave it you, you know your tank and measurements better than us.

This tank was a custom order from *******. Trust me I did measure because I also never heard of a 30×30 92 corner. And yes its kind of important to know tank size for a number of reasons

Being 30 inches deep really sucks to clean it. This is my first tank that I have to use a step ladder to work on The stand was made by ******* also and its 36 tall

The height is the giveaway, it's noticeable taller then my 54. But you can tell the sides aren't as deep as the normal 92.

Hi guys nice thread, looks like I found the place to be.

Picked up a 92 gallon corner a few months ago off of craigslist. I got it pretty cheap so I cant complain too much but boy was the thing neglected.

I set the tank up in my basement that I was in the middle of refinishing. I ran into the same issue some of you seem to have with fitting all the equipment under the stand. luckily for me the laundry room is on the other side of the wall from my tank. So i said screw it and I put my sump in the laundry room and went through the wall. I have a temp sump setup using a large food grade plastic bin just So I could set up my Skimmer. I picked up a nice vertex omega 150 during the black friday sales. I know it is a bit overkill but I couldn't help myself .
I picked up a 40 breeder just recently during the $1 per gallon sale, and am working on setting up my permanent sump/refugium.

Ill try to get some better pictures, my phone isn't the greatest.
