I posted on the general New to the Hobby forum, before realizing this sticky was staring me in the face!!!
------ Good Evening Reef Central!!!!!!!!!! Was checking out my QT where my live rock has been for the passed few weeks and found a new friend I'd like help ID'ing. I did the best i could with my iPhone. 1) The first two pics are of something that moved off the rock and across the bare bottom tank to feed on some waste from my ghost feeding. 2) The third pick is of something that there are multiple of on my Live Rock. Forgive me, but he best analogy I can give is that it looks like a little "penis". There is sort of a ball/mound at the base of the rock, and a smooth tube sticking up into the water. I'm not sure if they are alive or not at this point, but there are multiple. I am moving this rock for QT to DT this weekend, so I'd like to know before introducing something bad. Thanks, ZB |

Any idea what this is? At first I thought it was some kind of worm, but it hasn't moved, so I'm wondering if it's eggs from something in my tank.
And here is an anemone that hitchhiked in on a rock. Any idea what kind it is? It looks too bulbous to be a curlecue (not sure how to spell that), and it shouldn't be aipstasia since it came from the Gulf of Mexico.

This Crab came on a Orange/green Zoa colony i picked up.
Any ideas? he seems to be harmelss so far. He seems to hang on the rock at the base of the zoa colony eating algae. He is covered in coraline and algae growth, but below the growth seems to be a light blue color. The Zoas are closed because i had just put them in the tank. They all opened up within a couple hours of sticking them in the tank. Sorry for the low quality pics. |

Take him out and put him in a clear or white bowl of tank water to get some more pics.

Did we ever determine what this is? Link is not working but I'm referencing Abertuco's sump picture.

I know it's small and hard to see. But can someone ID this? It's been there for about 2 days. Started my cycle 2 weeks ago and half of my rock is LR (10lbs). 20 gal tank. |

Any idea on the red/black guy, or the odd thing in the upper left corner? Came off some zoa, mushroom, and gsp frags I picked up today.
