I had some PM requests on how I made the hanger, so I thought I would post how I did it.
The hanger itself is pretty easy to make and inexpensive. Pick out what size conduit you want to use. I used 3/4 inch. I bought two 10 ft pieces. Now you need to determine how far you want the conduit to project over the tank. Mine projects 15 inches over the tank. So I tempoararily placed the the conduit in place. You need to measure from the back of the condiut to how far you want the conduit to extend out. For example you might get a distance of 18 inches. Now you need to bend it. You will need pipe bender. Using the example of 21 inches, you will subtract 6 inches from the 21 inch measurement above. The conduit is marked at 15 inches and the conduit is placed there. The pipe is now bent and you will have a pipe with a distance of 21 inches from the back edge of the pipe to the part that extends over the tank. After it is bent, I drilled the holes in the bent part of the conduit where I wanted to have the eyebolts or hooks at. On my tank for example, it is 26 inches wide. So I want the light at 13 inches, which is center of the tank. With the above example again, I would measure back 2 inches since the pipe extends 15 inches over the tank (15-13 = 2 inches). Holes were drilled. Now you have to determine how tall you want the hangers. I had the measure how tall my tank and stand were. You have to measure how tall your light fixture is. Then add in how much you want to be able to adjust the light. For me all this came to a hanger height of right at 7 foot 4 inches. Then I mesure from top of hange to that distance and cut the conduit. Then I painted the hangers. I used Rustoleum industrial paint. I picked a gloss black. I put 2 coasts on it and I still did not use the whole can. I also painted the 4 knockout caps or end caps. I let the hangers dry 24 hours. I put the end caps on. I attached a floor protector that is used on chairs to the end caps that will be contacting the floor. These are cheap and are adhesive backed. After that I attached the hanger to the stand with conduit straps. The 2 eye bolts are tightened in place. You can place the eye bolts prior to attaching the hanger to the stand. At this point I used the hanging kit that came with my light. If you do not have one, then you can purchase a generic one if it will fit your light. I have seem them on sale at Premium Aquatics website for example. I hope this helps.

I did not quarantine my achilles at home. The place I got him from quarantines all their fish for 2 weeks before they sell them. That makes it nice.
I have never had a problem with ich. I don't do anything special to prevent it. I feed Omega One flake food with garlic. Not sure if this contributes to the lack of ich.

Reefobsession,
Thanks for the compliment. I think the stand really sets off the tank. Spleen, No problem. I hope the write up helps.

It does work out well that the fish are quarantined before I get them. I try to buy as many fish from there as possible. I still have a fish that does not make it every now and then, but that is rare.

Pictures from today
I was doing a water change and thought I would take some new pictures. I am going to get rid of most of my zoos and the frags I have scattered around. I think then I can make the tank look better. I apologize for the T-5 reflection in advance.
