I think I'll chime in with some pics of my 44g pentagon tank.

I have started on the custom canopy. There is just no way to put a descent light on top of this tank and it still look ok. I am going to paint the canopy and stand black and have ordered a new black tank to replace this one that is 6-7yrs old and loosing its seals.

As far as the sump I gave up on having one underneath and put a hole in the wall behind the tank and have a 29g sump in my utility room. I went ahead and put a 20L on top of the 29 sump stand while i was at it.

not tight, i basically designed the sump so the reactor could hang on the front and the cabinet door would still close, fits like a glove really

welcome to the cornerarians club charleskeller.

hookup i dont know its true color. i did have an AcroTenius right when i got into SPS, same kinda color, whitish cream with blue tips. though i do hope it blues up more. the tissue recesion spread, quick (yeah RTN!) i just fragged it up into 5 pieces. hopefully they all survive. Keep your fingers crossed!

Micheal - What kind of specs are you looking for? Here are some...

Tank - 44g Perfecto Pentagon, factory stand, custom canopy
Lighting - Current Sunpod 150w MH, Hamilton 14K bulb (current 14k pictured)
Circulation - Maxijet 900 (2), Koralia 1, Koralia 2
Filtration - 29g Fuge, ASM G1 Skimmer, Turbotwist 9w UV, Phosban Reactor (all under the tank, yeah right lol)
Other - 20L frag with 130w PC above sump, 1/3HP chiller

I'll try to take a better shot of the tank showing its location later.

thanks for the welcomes...

I forgot the return pumps. I'm using a Rio 1700 for the frag tank and a Rio 2500 for the display (44g). I plan to combine them some day but for now they are working.

i'll get some pics soon!

So I picked up a few pieces of live rock and some live sand from my favorite LFS. So far there's 2 blue leg hermits, 8 astrea snails and a couple butt loads of baby cerith snails.

Has anyone drilled a 44g Pentagon before?

My new black trimmed replacement tank comes in this week and I ordered some holesaws last night. I think I'm going to try it.

So i finally got to add all those frags (17 in all), but it looks a little funny with little circles, but hopefully in about a month they will all be grown over. From the other pictures i moved the LPS' down to the lower part of the tank (frogspawn and trumpet coral) and i'm going to make the top half of the tank into the sps half of the tank. I'll get some pics up later.
