Looks good but based on the responses from others on here it may be a little blue. Give them a chance to chime in but maybe go with some warm whites (?)

Already did and love the light:-) I'm glad I kept the money a middle man would have gotten. Today I read an article about LED aquarium lights that stated "American" fixtures are pretty much made primarily of Chinese guts with a 100-200 % markup by the time the consumer pays for the product. Most company's dont really do much R&D and charge a premium for Cree diodes that are really designed for residential use not aquarium. Not saying they aren't the best they are the most advanced but they are not really "reef" specific..
So in theory it's mostly the same stuff just put together by a Chinese factory VS an American company. I'm all for buying American. Always have with my cars ETC.. But I would rather not get ripped a new one for the somewhat the same equipment I can get for a third of the price. Plus LED's are progressing so rapidly any fixture you get will most likely be obsolete in a year or two. I'd rather save my money thank you very much. :-)

They said the ratio can be DIY, one channel for blue, one channel for white, and an another for mixture to automatic dimmable. I was just doubt the market, maybe to be an agency here.

I have tried contacting sunny for a week now. I want to order one of these lights but want to order one with a mix of wites but can't get a reply. Does any one else have a better way to contact them besides the contact now button?

These look very promising. I'm on vacation this week so I won't be able to post much.

The cost may be a bit high however. They're still working out the price.

Here is the light configuration I'm getting. What do you guys think. It's for a 16 gallon cube. But I replaced one of the uv's with a royal blue.

^^^ I agree. These just look like a D120 w/different case and a display w/different lenses. It's all about the price now. I'm guessing you should have the option of different drivers so they will connect to Apex.

You can buy from wherever you want.

I don't personally want to pay more when I can get the LEDs and the accessories included. There's one vendor that requires you to pay an extra 45.00$ just for the mounting cable as an extra cost option.

There is a Mode "Custom" which make the light run as Sun rise/ Sun set. You can set Time, and how many Blue/White at this time by this function. For example, 6:00am, 10Blue + 0 White; 7:00am, 20Blue + 10White, some thing like that. Once you set and Save, lights will run as you want.

Yeah I know that that's what controller in my post is refering to.:-) I have the evergrow D120 already. I've been following and posting in this thread for months. But would like one to be apex controllable in series for my 150 peninsula build I have in the works. I'd rather have one controller vs 4. FWIW. They do look good though..

The twilight LEDs aren't as bright as Evergrow's. This is apparent visually, and would probably be more noticeable if measured via a PAR meter. I might buy one in the future with all the LEDs I test. These have wireless control via remote, can link two fixtures to run off one power cord, and seem to be touch buttons like a ps3 or newer Xbox, which is a nice touch.

They're both nice options however, as the twilight will probably be cheaper since it is a bit less advanced. The new PCB board twilight uses fixes the spotting issue I originally had.

If Evergrow can keep the price reasonable, it would be a great option. They should keep the d120 and Nova as the value options, and this new one as a reasonably priced premium. Remember, there will be a Cree version of this too, and they will add more features if we request them.

Very soon. I'll be getting one of the first production ones and testing it, just like I did with the Nova.

This is what mine looks like with the warm, neutral, and cool whites, blues, and violets. I think I nailed it, but I might try adding some reds and seeing if it makes it look even better. The warm whites should provide enough red in theory without needing to do so.

bhazard, why do you avoid the other colors such as cyan, amber, orange, and green? Does the use of multiple whites and blues sufficiently cover those spectrums? Thanks!

Did you mean 3.5K and 6.5K? That's pretty sweet looking. I am thinking of reordering some of the new customizable D120s and I may use your layout. I had also come up with this, but I don't know if my whites are too blue. I like a warmer looking tank (not the uber-windex 20K tank look):

D1 D2 D1 D2 D1 D2 D1 D2 D1 D2 D1
1 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1
2 B2 W4 G W4 B2 W4 B2 W4 G W4 B2
3 B3 V B3 W5 V W5 V W5 B3 V B3
4 B2 W4 G W4 B2 W4 B2 W4 G W4 B2
5 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1 W2 B1

Dimmer 1: B1=460nmx12, B2=450nmx8, B3=440nmx4, V=420nmx2, G=520-570nmx4
Dimmer 2: W2=6500x10, W4=10000k-14000kx10,W5=14000k-20000kx3, V=420nmx2

I didn't opt for red due to the cyano/algae unknown.

Talking about LED lights, I am about to order these sets of lights and wanted your opinions about the actual lights and my choice of bulbs before confirming my purchase.
To be exact, its the 36" 36X3W Bridgelux Intelligent Dimmable LED light fixture.
http://www.ledaquagrow.com/en-view-cp404.html
The exact choice of lights are the following and all with 90 degree optic lenses:
18pcs - White 14K
10pcs - Blue 460nm
6 pcs - Moonlight Blue 453nm
2pcs - Purple 427nm

The light fixture will be going on top of my 46g bowfront and will be replacing my dual T5HO. Currently have all sorts of LPS, Zoas and shrooms. No LPS, maybe later. All my corals are doing ok, all open but not growing except for the shrooms. I know the tank is currently under powered with only 2 ATI T5HO (BluepLus, Aquablue Special)

Thanks for your input on my potential replacement light fixture.
Should I order these or would you recommend something else that is better?
They are 36" wide so it will cover the whole top of my tank. I'll be using the horizontal brackets so it won't be that far off from the water.
It is not a lot of money but I would rather spend it wisely. I wish I read more forum thread about skimmers, that way I would have not spent the money on my aqua c remora.
