Yes it should automatically reboot the light and start up your program after a few seconds

Jim,
I was able to upload my program successfully thank you, When I select quickmotion it is my exact program however as soon as its done, it turns off and then the light seems to turn on full blast which is clearly not in my program especially at 12:30 in the morning. Have you guys encountered this? Tomorrow is the big move and the last thing i want is to blast the corals with the added intensity.

Thanks again

Not sure what is quickmotion? If you are using expert mode and then uploading and the program isnt how you set up, are you sure your clock on the illumina is correct?

Quick motion is the function that allows you to see your light schedule time lapsed (24 hours in 3 minutes).

I've experienced what you are talking about Padrino, and all I've done to remedy it is just re-upload the file again. It should kick it back into where it supposed to be in the schedule... or you can switch it on the physical controller from demo to expert mode and that should work.

As for jim's comment... make sure your time settings have also uploaded correctly.

Love the lunar cycle on this fixture BTW.

IMO this is the best light out there (even with the new MACNA lights coming out)... the tech on this IS the bar.

if you are still seeing Quick Motion button, then most likely you are still using the old desktop version software. The newer version shows the Light Preview button instead of Quick Motion.

jim,

To be able to enable the lunar cycle, you have to have expert mode on. Then under time/date settings you will need to manually enter in how many days until the next full moon (I match this with a real lunar calendar). After the days-to-full-moon setting has been put in, go into your night settings and choose "Lunar Cycle." I'm not sure if you have to click upload or not for the light to take... but I always do an upload after I tweak a setting. After that you're set!

It's awesome being able to tell if there's a full moon outside when all I have to do is look at the intensity of my moon lights.

The light fixture's controller still calls the "Light Preview" function "Quick Motion." Still the same thing.

Not yet. I am waiting for a new meanwell driver to come in the mail and see if thats the problem. I should have it mid/late this upcoming week. I will post my findings once I receive that.

Jim

Unfortunately I haven't received it yet. I went today to home depot and picked up a kill a watt meter, which shows that the unit is running 170w when the lights are blasted on 100% which sounds correct. So I don't think in the end it's the drivers, I wish I could get my hands on another par meter

What are recommendations on getting corals acclimated to the new lights? I've had the 24" 260 on my 60g for 2 weeks now. I had the white at 40% and blue at 50% for the first 2 weeks. Just ramped blues up to 65% and white to 50% today. So far everything is looking great, but not sure what is recommended here.... Suggestions? Thanks!

Hmm.. I wish Jeremy at Premium Aquatics would chime in here... he's been running one (or his friend) for over a year and supports this light. (Even long before PA started carrying the light)...

I know he would have access to a PAR meter to get some results in..... I need one myself so I can make sure I place the corals in the proper place in my tank.

I would like to join the club but I'm torn on what to get. The tank I'm setting up is 30 x 30 x 24". It will be mostly if not all sps. PA tells me to get a 12" 260 but I'm concened with the ends and corners of the tank. I also just received an email from Vertex support and they think the 200 24" would be my best bet. As you all know these are pretty pricey fixtures and I just want to make the right decision. Thx!

I have close to the same dimensions, ended up going with the 24" 260. I know likely overkill, but I wanted to make sure I had coverage as well as something I could use on a larger tank in the future... So far I am very pleased with the light. Only been a few weeks, so too soon to tell coral reaction.

Yeah you are right. Thanks Jeremy it will really help a lot. Also, vertex has been really good in working with me. Im in touch now with Andreas who is a head engineer at Vertex in Austria, and hes working with me to figure out whats going on. I really hope in the end that the meter Jermey sends me reads properly and that the problem was the first par meter I used.

I also put in the question to Andreas as to when/if we will see a mix of red/violet pads which we can add in, rather than just the red pads

I will let you guys know my results as soon as I find out whats going on. Thanks to everyone for the help.
