If you haven't already, you might want to post that picture in the Other Invertebrates Forum. There's a few people there who are very good a identifying things for people. While it does look kind of like a nassarius snail, whelks are not that far off as far as appearance goes. It would suck to have this predatory snail roaming throughout your tank. (eating the good things)

Bristle worm I think? Best pic I could get before he went back into the rocks. I've heard some are good and some are bad?

I got this nerite as part of a cleanup crew from a seller in Florida. It has a barnacle and just noticed that it also has a little colony of what may be digitate hydroids. What do you think? I like the barnacle but not sure about the other creatures.uploadfromtaptalk1411852635677.jpg

If it wasn't moving around on it's own, I think it might just be a sponge of some sort.

Mystery Slug
OK Random Creature Gurus, here is the latest curiosity from my new tank. I am guessing some sort of nudibranch. Very small, so hard to photo. One shot is underneath (it was on the glass), the other from the top (you can just make out the two eye/antennae stalks).
Any advice appreciated!! |

Crabs
Not all crabs are bad. I agree that small hermits are the best, but some other crabs such as Emerald crabs can be extremely beneficial and stay to small to do any harm to your fish. I've had Emerald crabs in all my tanks and they've been great. They eat tons of algea and have never bothered my corals. I've also had a Sally Lightfoot crab for nearly 2 months he's been fine with everything so far I've heard they can get big but no problems yet.
