Thanks Grimm-
I have found the bulbs again on MD, but do you know what ballast I could use to run these? Also it wouldnt effect the properties of the reflector if I cut it down while making sure not to bend it, right? Thanks again. Quote:

how many T5HO's
Grim,
i'm just starting a 55 or 60 gallon sw tank (first sw adventure) roughly 48 x 13 x 20. would you suggest going with t5's or t5HO's? how many bulbs would you use, and which bulbs? i'll mostly have lps/anemone-types, but maybe a few sps. any suggestions for a retrofit brand or style? Muchos grassyass!!

Hey Grim,
I need your expertise Its about time for me to be changing my T5HO bulbs out. Currently they are being housed over my 50 breeder that is mainly LPS with the random zoo/ricordea. The current lights in the fixture are the stock ones 4x39Watt Giesemann bulbs 2 actinic and 2 10K daylights giving the tank to much of a "sterile" look IMO and im looking to go much more blue, but still be able to have proper LPS lighiting, What would you recommend? |
