What size pair of jebao wavemakers should I buy?
I would like to get a pair of jebao wavemakers for my 56g mixed reef but am unsure which size to buy. Currently I have one koralia evolution pushing 1150gph and have a really tough time finding a good angle that doesn't blow sand everywhere.
The dimensions of the tank are 30x18x24 inches. Starting on sps now so want lots of flow but without sand storms and smaller is better due to tank size. I am thinking two wp10s should be sufficient but can't hurt to ask the experienced experts here first. Thanks in advance and happy reefing!! |

Hi everyone, i just wanted to write my opinion on wp-40, am using 3 of them on my 160 gal tank, i wanted to have niec waves, but it was hard to achieve with stock controllers, they are good for single pump wave making or random flow, but if you want to sinc 3 pumps – its pain in the a**. I was looking for cheap solution and found perfect mach. Didn’t see anyone mentioning this controller in this thread.
http://reef-aholic.com/shop/index.ph...product_id=551 It does everything I need. Perfect waves with sinc or antisinc modes. |

[QUOTE=Spazdad;22288295]I played around with it multiple times last night. Cleaned the glass, tried different cup added another block magnet to the magnet on back and they fell again ! My tank is 36" deep so it's a chore to keep doing this. I'm going to take some measurements and find some rare earth and coat them. If anyone has any leads on this please Lmk.[/QUOT
Check the WP60 thread. There is a link posted to some magnets that worked on a guys inch thick tank.---Rick |

I haven't seen anyone that tried it yet, but it looked pretty decent, except for the lack of a case.

I just wanted to share that I have been happy with my Jaebo MP40. I have had it around 8 months and have one problem to share. A couple times the pump has run at full speed at night, no big deal to me though.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement plug for a WP40? I'm talking about the actual plug that goes ito the wall then then connects to the controller. It has a very odd connection that goes into the controller and not sure where I can get a replacement. Fish street does not sell them. If you get a replacement controller it does not come with the actual plug.

If you are talking about the portion from the wall to the brick it is a standard plug from a tower computer (not a laptop). I know this because when I got my WP-40 I had no power to the PS and FS told me to try a different plug and I took one from my old computers and it worked.

Who has these dialed in perfectly? I have two on my 210 and they are blowing sand around like theres no tomorrow. No matter what setting I have them on they are moving water so much that im getting splashes on to the ground.

No 2 set ups are going to be identical.
Rock placement is a major factor in the water flow. I have a WP-40 and a WP-25 running in antisync at 30-50% of full speed in a 55 gallon tank and it is fine. No sandstorms and very good circulation. The 40 is higher up on the left hand side of the tank and towards the front with the nozzle pointing at the front glass about midway while I have the 25 on the right side rear bottom, just to blow things out from behind the rock work.

I know this question has been asked a million times already but.... my tank is a little different because I barely have any corals, it is mostly macro algae. So what I'm trying to achieve is just a nice back and forth motion, not looking for sps or even lps style flow. I hate the look of equipment in the tank so I'd prefer to keep it to just one powerhead. So which would be better for my set up, one 25 at full power or one 40 dialed back? I'd like to place it on the back left corner and face it to the front right corner. Thoughts?
So you can see what I'm working with... |

If your tank is a 40b (that's what it looks like, but I'm not 100% sure) and you just need back and forth, I'd give two WP10s and that dual controller a shot if I were you.

Sorry it's a 90. I realize two pumps would work BEST, but I'd really rather only have one. So if you had to only pick one which would it be?

40 would just be too strong huh? Well a 25 would work better for me because like I said I hate seeing equipment so the smaller the better
Thanks for the advice! |
