Polychaete epitokes most likely.

What is this?

I just bought this live rock from my LFS and im new to saltwater. First tank. day 3. What is this black thing above the polyp? Should I remove this or what is it? Is it decay?

If it's stationary it's probably just a sponge of some sort. If it moves, remove it. (flatworm)

Is this a clear flatworm or something else? About the size of pinky fingernail. Good or bad? Lionfishlair says good if it is clear flatworm but it looks a little different.

Hi. Just got a new coral frag and got a few of these long stringy white worms. Anybody tell me what they are and whether they are harmless. Thanks

In most cases these are just baby bristle worms, so not harmful at all. Also, depending on what kind of fish you have in the tank, they might wind up as food.

Any ideas what this is. I bought my rock dry so I'm not sure where it came from... Could it be one of my snails somehow lost a shell?

Is it just the one white worm, or does it look like there might be two of them originating from the same spot?

Just saw a couple of these in my refugium and have no clue what they are. What your looking at is the skinny worm looking thing that has a bunch of small clear whisker things coming off the one end. Sorry for the crappy picture but there are two in the photo.

can anyone ID this hermit crab please?

This guy came in my live rock. I'm thinking it's not a zebra hermit but that's the nearest I've seen.

Mainly just wondering if he's reef safe or if he's likely to kill my other crabs.

anyone know what this little guy is, he is in my refugium now. I posted this in the general discussion and someone suggested a juvenile porcelain. But I'm thinking it might be some sort of juvenile xanthid. Right now all that is in my DT is 3 tiny blue legs, an emerald, snails, and a peppermint shrimp. Along with way to much algae (hence the crabs)

But being so small I didn't want to loose him in there and not be able to grab it if its not safe for coral down the road. It came on a piece of LR I got today.

Size: >1cm across including legs
