W2: WAVE MAKING and FLOW MAKING combined MODE (WaveBox Function + Stream Mode)

P1 is WAVE MAKING mode and P2 is FLOW MAKING mode. You can select the wave pattern by turning WAVE knob and adjust FLOW RATE by selecting P2 FLOW.

W3: SINE mode (Reef Stream Mode)

Power of P1 and P2 is floating between 30% and 100% under this mode, this flow rate looks like a sine curve.

ELSE: Random mode (Reef Stream Mode)

It's irregular mode that power of P1 and P2 is changed continuously as a random value.

H. Flow mode

P1 and P2 can achieve constant flow rate by adjusting P1 FLOW and P2 FLOW

C Switch to Flow make mode. (New Function)

P1 and P2 can switch to cycling flow make in this mode. P1 work, P2 stop--P1 stop, P2 work--P1 work, P2 stop and repeating the cycling by adjusting P1_FLOW” 、 “P2_FLOW

That's right from the site. I only use the "C" mode. Very cool. My anemones have gotten HUGE since switching to it. I'm loving it.
i would like to have one powerhead causing the back and forth type flow and the other pump doing a different flow pattern. that seems to be W2? am i correct?

or C would also work for that too im guessing. what do you have your C set on. obviously one pump is wave action cause i can see that with the nems. but what fuction is your other pump set to?

lol never mind, C mode just sets the pump at a speed you set it at and they switch back and forth which causes the wave like mode and W2 is one pump is wave and other pump is constant flow...

Yes, the Interval knob sets a run time of 1 second to 2 minutes.

I think they did a really good job with it. I wish that they had a little more delay between the 2 pumps, but it's working the way I want in my tank, so overall I'm very happy.

2 10s are not enough for a 40b. I have 2 in a 45 cube and I can barely see movement.

Do you think 2 WP10 will be ok in a 30g cube? (approximately L 20.5 x W 21 x H 18.5)

I was only planning 1 WP10 (in addition to return output of 200gph). I will be keeping LPS and BTAs.

I have a lot of coral in the cube

I would suppose how much stuff they had to blow through. This tank previously had an mp40 on it and was really nice. I tried a 25 on it and it was to violent. I have an adjustable power supply that I will try soon with a 25 again.

I would say possibly. You can't even feel the flow 6-8" away. It is very light. Curious if these can be modded for more power.

Hey guys, just getting my tank started up again, been down for a year. Hearing good things here about this wave-maker. What package do I need to get for 2 wp40's. My tank is 120. 48"x24x24. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for that info. Dose this new controller eliminate the need for a reef angle, apex, ect. or is it still a good idea to have them work in conjunction with one of these?... any thoughts guys?---Rick

The new controller eliminates the need for a reef angle, apex, ect in order to control 2 pumps at a time in sync or anti-sync.

If you have more that 2 pumps and want them all working together then you would still need a 3rd party controller.

The New controller will only control 2 pumps where in essence with my Reef Angel I could control up to 10 pumps if I wanted to.

If you're planning on getting an Apex, Reef Angel, Profilux, etc, I would recommend putting the money you'd use on the Jebao Dual Controller into one of those. They allow for programming different waves and different pump programs, so to speak, at different times of the day. Ultimately, they're much, much more flexible in programming as well as the fact you can use more than two pumps, as Steve pointed out.

NeveSSL... Do you use the pumps with an Apex or reef angel? Arent the modules super expensive to do that?

If you are only going to use 2 pumps I think the controller is slick. Just sayin'.

I use it with an Apex. No extra modules here... the variable speed ports are built into the standard Apex base unit, so I didn't have to buy anything extra, I only had to make a custom cable.

The controller is good, but is a one trick pony. Its a good trick, but its the only trick. With a controller, you get many, many, many more options, even with just two pumps. But if all you want is for the pumps to be sync'ed and making a wave, the 2 pump controller is great for that.

Okay, well now I'm disappointed... I have an apex controller. I thought I had to buy the VPM Module. So what did it take to make the custom cable???? I'm sure there is a thread about it on here somewhere. Can you point me in the right direction? I'd still be interested in hooking it up that way.

I use them with a Reef Angel and the dimming ports are part of the main unit. You cab make a cable like NeveSSL did or get a cable from Reef Angel fir $25 for each pump.

I just got the wp40 from fishstreet. Main concern is the rubber cover of the mounting clamp that holds the magnet. The cover comes off easily and worried about water getting inside where the magnet is.

I'm fairly positive its all sealed up in there. No need to worry about it.

Is the magnet non-corrosive?

Here's a pic of mine... I simply soldered the cables (ordered on eBay) directly to the power jacks (Radio Shack) and then added a voltage divider on the signal side and combined the grounds. This is all in a guitar pedal housing I had lying around.
