LOL, yeah, I have started looking at frags for my pico now... And have been doing a little too much research into custom starfire cubes and custom stands...

i have an empty 20g sitting in my basement and all the fixings to start a frag tank in my basement. All i'm waiting for now is that the wife tells me the frogspawn is too big for the BC29 and it's moving to the basement!

So EcoTech just released a new version of the Radion software and "Natural" mode is now enabled!!! There are also a few other neat improvements, one of which is the ability to "preview" a 24-hr light cycle compressed down to 1 or 2 minutes. This is an awesome alternative to the time-lapse photos I have been putting off to show everyone the coolness of the sunrise/sunset cycle.

I plan to play around with Natural mode some over the weekend, and I'll also get a 720p-HD video of the profile playback.

Ange I just opened a thread in the lighting section asking if anyone was going to try this so I'm excited to hear your going to review this. I did not want to change away from my custom setting as I am really happy after tweaking it. It's great that you are willing to try this out just beware of that intensity setting after your last scare...and thanks again.

That tank looks beautiful with the Radion Ange062! I have had the AI SOL Blue and now the Nano and while I love them, the Radion's full spectrum is def bringing out every color of the corals.

Tank 20 is the winner for me. I'm not sure I like the greenish color at sunset/sunrise on 19. I prefer the red/orange look. I'm going to try the natural mode on Sunday to try it out. What did you set the intensity? Same as the custom program. Thanks again.

Thanks!! I agree, the RGB really does add some pop, it's even more noticeable in person as the camera always has difficulties with LED.

I cleaned up the video names to make it a little less confusing on which is which. For the natural mode, I just used the same intensity as on artificial mode (35%).

Preciate cha sir! Rics really didn't respond too poorly, it was mostly my SPS that tanked in the whole ordeal and it took a bit for them to recover on both light bleaching occasions. Overall, everything is looking better then ever under the LED and really looking forward to seeing the SPS frags grow out in a few months. They have all really taken off.

ange,

Do you happen to have a picture of the back side of your tank? I would like to see how you have the HOB and the reactors setup as I may go that way with my tank.

Awesome thanks. Do you have both reactors running off one pump? A lot of people are saying that GFO and Carbon need different flow rates to work right. Most common suggestion is to run a manifild type setup off one return pump and control the flow with ball valves. Do you see this as being better than running both off one pump?

Thanks for your time in answering my questions.

Ive been switching between Phosban and BRS HC GFO, and using BRS ROX0.8 carbon. I notice that they tumble at about the same rate, and I havent had any problems with pulverizing either media or having dust get back into the display.

And yes, both are plumbed serially on a dedicated maxijet400.
