Do they have a hard base or all soft, or in between?
Can't really tell. Could be little cup corals (hard base) or hydroids (soft or in between).

Hi Folks,
Is this a ball anemone? Just noticed it today and we haven't added anything to the tank in months so it must have been around. Good / Bad? Should I kill it? If so, how? Thanx, Peter Sent from my A100 using Tapatalk

I can tell you that injecting them with lemon juice will just make them pucker up for a couple days, then bounce right back .
Some of mine did move after doing that to them, though.

I see two, what look to be sweeper tentacles coming out from behind a rock. They're in the same spot every night. They're translucent, about 2", and retract when light is put in them. Wondering what this could be?
I'm attaching the best shot I could get. If you look in the middle from the white piece it's right there. |

This little worm came from Tampa Bay Saltwater rock. The first picture is to give an idea of size. The snail is about the size of a nickel in diameter.
This is as good a shot as I could get through two feet of water. The body is white with black segments every eighth of an inch. The head/mouth is red with what appears to be appendages of some sort. Possibly a type of eunicid? Who knows. |

@Badinfo. Mmm. I am not sure but those look a lot like some type of glass anemone. Most are pests with the exception of some Atlantic species.

I think Omni is correct. Looks more like a nem to me.
Not sure on the worm, on my phone so have no links. Try Chuck's addiction hitchhiker worm ID site.

Hey forum.
If I can get help with these two, that would be great. I have a worm. Only got the tail of it since I can barely find it at night with 60lbs of live rock I have. LFS says its okay. Won't harm. But open to second opinion. Second. Discovered this last night. Another worm, same breed as the one above from the looks of it. It came out the sand, made this ball of web and my snails starting having a buffet. The ball was formed before in a previous time but I ignored thinking it was from moving sand and re arranging live rock. Here's the other ball. Any help would be great. Thanks |

First is a common harmless bristleworm. The second one, probably a peanut worm, harmless. Compare pictures to other worms here - http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchworms.html
Edit...upon further investigation, it may be a lugworm. Capitellid. Also harmless.
