For myself, it's not the difficulty in tightening, it's that the screws wobble and make it difficult to line up properly with the keyholes. This makes it incredibly frustrating to get the lid on.

Thats because there is so many screws and we wanted to make keyholes small as possible.
Fortunately it's not needed to open chambers so offen but yes, I can agree - it took more time than looks on first sight.

It's not too bad if you have access and can stand over the lid, but if it's under the stand and has to be by feel only, it's difficult.

Also, I got the replacement tube for the pump today. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's about a half inch too short.

Hi
Its normal that its shorter because tube diameter is also smaller.
You need to "extend" it during mount and put end hoses in proper places.
Please contact with service if you will notice any trouble with that.

As an update, there is a huge difference between those two inner pipe diameters as they relate to flow. What I thought was too much water was actually the correct amount. I gave it more time for the co2 to fill the inner chamber and realized it was working correctly while what I had been seeing before was wrong. I should make a video. The reactor is working very well now and has been stable for two weeks.

Please do make a vid, I wonder if my pipe on my AC 4 model is ok

Hi Rob,
On your reactor you have much stronger pump and additional valve for flow adjusting,
John have AC2 without adjusting valve so he couldn't control flow.

How many times do I have to power cycle the doser during initial setup? I've done about 30, and the bubble rate is around 10 per second.

Good news guys, it looks like Deepwater Aquatics has finally come up to speed as the distributor of Pacific Sun. I had a good talk with Dean over there regarding the customer service issues and he stated that they can handle issues that may arise not that they have product in stock! This means customers should have much shorter wait times for warranty issues.

Just curious...... why does everyone take the lids off and on so much? I filled mine once 2 months ago and have never taken them off again

I don't, but it doesn't stop it being incredibly frustrating. It's a relatively small issue, but pacsun wants feedback, which is good.

If you are using latest firmware on your CalcFeeder PRO controller - you can simply turn off CO2 alarm(during initial setup) and allow for slowly filling mixing chamber with carbon dioxide.
If you don't have latest firmware - please contact with service@pacific-sun.eu, they will send you firmware with short manual how it should be performed(it's very easy procedure).

Just thought i should write something here on a issue i had after changing out my co2 bottle from reactor. when my co2 bottle went empty on the reactor the alarm did go off telling me that bottle was empty :-). NOW READ CAREFULLY HERE BEFORE UNSCREWING YOUR CO2 BOTTLE FROM YOUR REGULATOR. First make sure your controller is "OFF" if you fail to do this you may damage your solenoid that came with your reactor that connects to your controller, i did not shut off the controller before exchanging co2 bottles and water entered the 1/4 white tube (carries c02 from bottle to solenoid and into the gas mixing chamber) which got into the solenoid which caused my solenoid to malfunction which in turn kept my co2 running non stop which in turn caused water to push all the way to the bottom of the gas mixing chamber. i had to contact pacific sun to send me a new solenoid which i haven't gotten yet ( monday it will be here) so all in all shut off your controller before replacing co2 bottle so you don't experience what i did.

Thanks for the warning, but don't you have a check valve?

How are you filling the water? For example two time my holes broken to start it back up you have to take the lids of to fill it up with tank water

The lid screws I had take take mine apart as itleaked. So I had do it twice. Doing so I figured out a few other things. First of all I put a bubble counter and check valve on it. Easier to figure things out. Although I still think I am running my. Unless to fast. To fill it I unhooked the tubing that goes into the elbow. I also unhooked the tubing on the top. Next I set a 5 gallon jug on top of the reactor. ( I have the ac4 so it is big enough to set it on.) I have some extra to tubing and then siphon the water out of the jug and plug it in the elbow. This way it fills it and allow the air to escape. This takes a while but works well. I do not have the new firmware I do need to do it.
I just had my impeller brake in my aquabee pump prior to me taking a trip. Not sure how it happened but I am glad I was still home instead of it breaking while away. The magnet had a small cram and the paddle shell was torn off. I did get a noise every now and then but turned it off and back on and it went away.
I will say every time I had an issue their customer service has been great. The problem is that they are far away so that makes it a logistic problem. I talked to Deepwater some over the weekend at Reefapoolza, they are more then excited to take on this line. Soon they will be able to service us when we things arise. This will make everything even better for all.
Hopefully soon better instructions or videos will help future customers.

I have had to restart mine a few times during initial start up and once again when I changed my CO2 bottle (just a precaution.... don't think I had to)

1) turn circulating pump off
2) unplug optical sensor from controller
3) pull "CO2 line in" and "water out" line (when you pull the 2 lines from fittings the water levels in the mixing chamber and media chamber will balance out)
4) go to set up on controller and run the fill reactor
5) keep running until you see water come out from CO2 line in fitting..... then push hose back in...... let pump continue running until water comes out from water out fitting...... push hose back into fitting
6) plug optical sensor back into controller
7) restart (or just pull power) controller and let it fill CO2

It sound like a lot but it's really fast and easy.

I think if you have the latest Firmware installed you can go into Menu settings and there is a ALARM on/off option there you would have to shut this alarm off that is what i did to take care of my error message from going on at my startup. At least i think this is the answer your looking for.

You need to open your needle valve and regulator all the way during initial startup. At least I did. Release as much co2 as possible, then dial it back once running normally.

Had anyone else updated the firmware? What's the process? The program I was sent seems to be for Mac.
