The ER forum is back up. I'm so stoked about it, I thought I would let others know.

youre right albfelix, I chose to link to Jeff's message rather than the main forum so that everyone could be brought up to speed.

Deltec manufactures the skimmers in germany. Doug...who has superb customer service ,all hours of the day, is doing the work for them? Yes he is, he is a rep.. What is the big deal. You will be hard pressed to find very many products where the owner of the product has a discussion forum. ER is using trained represenatives, what is the big deal? Good day, your friend, reefologist...

we are not trying to say here that Jeff and his crew to give customer support as Doug gives for his Deltec products, but at least try to give some, not just nothing at all as an end manufacturer

PS: I would love an American Skimmmer to make it to Europe and a german to give customer service for it like Doug does here.

I had good luck with ER before I ever found RC. Lot's of reefers don't even have internet service, therfore it is not essential to have forum on RC to have good customer service. Don't get me wrong , I think it is great that RC and it's sponsors are considerate enough to offer thier forums. It just isnt't that big of a deal either way....good day....reefologist

That's what I'm saying. If I have a problem with most anything I buy, Skimmer or Automobile, I'm going to ,or calling the dealership or store where I purchased it, to resolve the issue, not to an internet discussion forum....

Good for you about having good luck with ER skimmer .
I hope you never need a part like i did, I'm still working to get it, I just need to take a picture of the broken part , get the Serial # and find the receipt and maybe then i can get them to ok to send me the broken NW that is still under warranty.

Dude, ER don't even offer customer service to the end user, even with phones. Only the person who sold you the skimmer will.

You gotta send in the card which has the serial number on it. It also tells you on there to attach a copy of the receipt. It is as simple as the instructions state. good day, your friend,reefologist...

But do you call Chevrolet when your car is sick. No way...I live by a ford truck plant, do you think they would even entertain a warranty issue with my truck? no way , they would tell me to call a dealer..I don't want to be argumentitive , we here are on RC are spoiled and we should realize this.....Good Day....reefologist

Also They asked me to take a picture of the broken NW and send the picture to them.
The problem is i'm still looking to the find the receipt so If don't find it I'm screwed.
Don't get me wrong i like my under power ER 8.2 I just don't like the costumer service.

Did you send in the info when you prchased the skimmer or did you wait until it was broken. This could be why...I am not saying ER hung the moon by any means. I am just saying that their forum on RC is trivial at best in the big picture....good day, your friend, reefologist...

My friend, of course, with cars is different stories. Let's say I have a problem with my VW. What do you think, I have to go all the way to Mexico where is assembled or Germany if it's assembled there???

Anyway, this thread is getting a little out of control. It's EuroReef Club and members give praises about them. I guess I am doing te opposite. But just because you are very lucky with your ER, don't think all the rest feel the same.

Every six months i take the skimmer and the pump out for cleaning .
The NW is warranty for the life of the skimmer I belive, about the third cleaning I discover the NW was missing five pegs you know the rest of the story.

i love premium aquatics they hold excellant customer service and i will always buy my equipment there, but.. to reefologist. when you buy a car at a dealership does that dealer carry an abundancy of cars such as toyota, chevy, ford, bmw, etc..... its hard to pinpoint one person who knows euroreef the best. when you need a part. how long is it going to be before you get that part??? do you really want to sit and wait for an answer for 2-3days then be down for 4-8wks. at least w/ deltec doug can give you an answer right away and you can call him til 12am. he is the rep for deltec. and yes pa is the rep for er, but how long are you going to wait for er to get back to pa or md???? i know the guys at pa will be all over it for you, but what about the other end. come on you pay all that dinero' and no cust service.

Srub lightly danielson.....needlewheel very sensitive....As you can tell I am a proud member of the euro-reef club. I do understand though, that bad customer service is usually what sours buisness relationships, retail and commercial. Good luck with your needle wheel Zoom. Happy reefing....reefologist
