Vertex tends to under rate their skimmers. When they rate for 100 gallons it's 100 gallons very heavily stocked. So I think the 130 would be great for a 90 gallon system. I have an Omega 150 on a lightly stocked 120 gallon right now and it's skimming superbly.

Would the omega 150 be adequate for a 115 medium stocked?

See I think it is pushing it a little and is very borderline with a 130..
I recommended the vertex omega 150 or the aquamaxx CO-2 instead of the 130 and the CO-1 Because I think heavily stocked it is borderline for those two skimmers.. Might work might not... Medium stocked no problem.. Afraid if he went that low he would be having to buy a new skimmer down the road.

I have a sro 3000 ext cone I think its one of their best skimmers. I just went a size up to the 5000 ext but not the cone as it is pricey. I have 260 total gallons of water but a very heavy bio load. My skimmer is a year old no pump problems and I am going to sell it have original box and paper work plus two neck extensions . I wish I was able to get the full cone thats the one you want if you get one.

on a 90 there will be absolutely no need ever for a skimmer more than 6" and producing from 420-600lph air... that is plenty of big and possibly too big.
