shoot, in tapatalk it made those youtube links embedded but in the browser they're just links. I guess I have to copy the embedded link from youtube.

So, here's some of my favorites. You can bump the resolution up to 720 HD if it's not your default.

Creating a playlist for each of these sessions.

Stringy Bacteria from Sump

Cyano

Tonight or tomorrow night I'm thinking of looking at some skimmate.

Haven't touched it since 9/11/2015

What is going on in the cyano video where it looks sort of like matter flowing through a pipe?

Can you explain that?

Holy hell that's some nasty looking skimmate!!

I'm super curious as to what you'll find in there.

Following along for sure.

This happened tonight.

I pulled from the bottom and got some black death.

And then I tried pulling foam from the neck riser area. It's a freaking war zone there.

I'll work on pictures and videos later at some point.

First the smear of death a and decay. The bottom of my skimmer looks to be the end of the line for life.

There were quite a few very tiny practically clear worms. And some extremely tiny but amazingly colorful and hungry cells.

Lots of salts

Lots of death

But something is there

See it?

It's going in for the kill

Spent almost the entire time watching these cells consume anything they could. Changing sizes and colors in an instant.

Till there was nothing left

So, then I had to see what was occurring just before this end game. I collected from right where the foam was rising and falling over the top of the neck.

It was an absolute war zone. Everything was going nuts. And under attack by those tiny colorful cells. You can see them attaching to everything. Wait till you see the video for both the skimmate and the foam.

It's a wonderful game. I'm absolutely loving this and having the digital camera has put so much more excitement and enjoyment to using the microscope. Getting closer up helps too.

Thanks everyone for the thread support.

And thankful for that ID too for the sponge spicules. I have lots of sponges in my tank and sump.
