hahn- ive read your endorsements of eheim pumps everywhere and you are probably a big reason im going this direction. are you gonna run yours externally or insump? i have the choice right now, but the plumbing will be more straight forward (less restriction) if I run it in sump.

With the eheim 1250 return on my 75 I moved to a lower flow sump and higher flow display by putting the power there where its really needed.

Ill run mine in the sump... they run cool enough that Im not too worried about what little amount they may add to the water. There are far greater sources of heat than this pump, and if I need to, fans are about all I have ever needed to keep a tank cool.
