So, you get a couple of ac eels, run it through an inverter to charge a couple of deep cycle batteries, then you get an inverter and hook it up to the halides. Then weve go the hampsters to power the powerheads. The only problem is that after throwing in the vodka the hampsters will be in with eels and those would be some ugly babies.

Do you think we could train some gobies to run on a hampster wheels. Or better yet, get some clowns to channel their agression on a wheel.

Then we will get a third tank and have fields of xenia to create more water movement to run a turbine.

I'll be rich and you'll be famous.

Agios is referring to this GFCI Testing. As you can see I was not the one who suggested using electric eels and even helped guide Agios on the correct marine path by suggesting a Torpedo Ray instead.

You can use DC eels just make sure you get them to turn around 60 times a second.

Nope, they have heavy handed, dictatorial moderators in the Reef Discussions and Advanced forums.

one minor problem with your plan

electric eels get 8 ft long and wouldn't fit in a 10g tank for long at all

Electric eels are a great Idea, just remember to wrap the wires clockwise around their head and tail.

No poking necessary! Tank water conducts electricity just fine!

The adult Electric Eel has enough electrical power in them that could power a house of about twelve hundred square feet.
