Why import from US? US is 110v/60hz, and EU is 220v 50hz. You would want to buy from a EU mfg, no? At that, I would look into having something made by ATB in austria...
http://www.aquariumtechnik.at/produkte1.html Others would be ATI, Aqua Medic, H&S, and DAS. A DAS EX-3 is prolly cheaper over there than over here. There is also RATZ... bang for the buck... hard to beat over there. |

OK - I took a look at the skimmers of Aqua Medic and found the Aqua Medic TURBOFLOTOR Blue 3000, which should be good for up to 400g. What do you think about it? Is it known/being sold in the USA? Any experience?

Not available yet in 110v/US. I have been watching it in the german and UK forums though. The response has been very positive. That 400g rating is pushing it though. I would suggest a T5000 shorty2 or baby as well. Same pump, but taller skimmer.

I somehow don't find their web site - only web stores, where their skimmers are being sold.

No, never have. They are made under liscence from Deltec... give em a call. That emblem is correct though.
