your live rock is probably still curing---any phosphates and nitrates being realeased are taken up quickly by the algae bloom so you will get a zero reading.
Reduce your lighting time by 2/3 for the next five days--it won't hurt the colt. Then run them for only 4 hrs a day or so till that algae starts dying off If you don't add any phosphates nitrates etc to the tank then that algae bloom should eat itself out of a food supply in the next couple of weeks

Just another thought on Colt's coral, it is basically a weed, I'm trying to rid my tank of it.

again no suprises---the live rock is stilll curing--in this process dead stuff becomes ammonia and phosphates--these are the fuel for the algae bloom------a perfectly natural event of the cycling process.
Most algae blooms eat themselves to death--consume the fuel because eventually the rock will be fully cured--all the dead stuff gone. A good possibility here is that the algae is consuming the the nitrates and phosphates a quick as it is being produced by the live rock----and as a result your are not testing positive for nitrates. what you can do: first of all wait before adding any more bioload feed your fish very little---if you feel guilty about it---feed little three times a day instead of two thoroughly wash any frozen food--rinse it through a brine shrimp net with r/0 water only use r/0 water for top ups and water changes(mixed with salt of course) shut off your lights for the next four days---it won't hurt the colt coral run your lights after that max 4 hrs per day until the algae dies off make sure none of the algae is starting to cover the the colt coral lightly use a turkey base over the substrate and rocks to get that debris back into the water column where it can be fillter out.
