Java which flow meter are you using? I have been researching some but have trouble translating bubble rate into proper flow meter range. What is your brand and it's range? I am looking for one that can read 100 bubbles per minute at the middle of the scale.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that even though I have a flow meter...I can adjust the bubble count by the knob on the regulator. It has VERY precise control of the output.

I'm using a Dwyer RMA-151 that measures 5-50 cc/min Air. My bubble count is around 60/min I believe and is near the bottom of the scale. If you could find a 0-25 cc/min or equiv that would probably be better.

I found these options:

This high end goes from about 40 to about 300 bpm
http://www.coleparmer.com/catalog/pr...sp?sku=0326700

This one goes from about 10 to 60 bpm
http://www.coleparmer.com/catalog/pr...sp?sku=0326600

This one from about 20 to 200 bpm

Same with high resolution needle valve:

Ok, so for those of use who are new to this whole area, if we go with the Harris Regulator, what all do we need? A flowmeter? A needle valve? Do they fit standard aquarium co2 delivery tubing? What else should I be asking? I would probably still need a solenoid since I control time on my Ca Reactor.

I have trouble with what I have now in that it does not remain constant when I set it and I tend to prefer to spend money once for the best rather than buy cheap and replace it.

As always, thanks for any information.

Note that the Harris regulator is large and heavy and I would not recommend it to be used in a cylinder of less than 20 pounds.
If you go with the Harris Part Number 3302276 Model 9200-15-320 you will need a solenoid valve and a needle valve as well as some brass connectors and adapters to put it all together.
For a solenoid you can use:
This one can be conected directly to the regulator. (need connectors)
http://www.aquariumplants.com/Burker...1_p/bu6011.htm

Or one of these that conects in the tubing:
http://www.aquariumplants.com/CO2_So..._p/am73007.htm
https://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewI...ct~RS2321.html

For a needle valve you have a couple of options:
If you want some of the best look for the Parker metering valve 2F-H1L-BN-B-K which might go for around $140.00
http://www.parker.com/icd/cat/english/4170-HR.pdf

Other wise any of these will do:

or just get this one if you don't want to spend so much-
http://www.aquariumplants.com/product_p/co2-1.htm

I upgraded to that one awhile ago from the Milwaukee unit. Way better, haven't touched it since I original set it and it shuts on and off all day long. I feel its going to last a long time from the way its built, rock solid. not unusually bulky either.

Its not no Harris but its a huge step up from the Milwaukee unit and very sufficient for what we're doing.

Looks like they just raised the price as it was $149 shipped last week.

Yeah, it seems to me that if you want to go with the harris regulator and a nice needle valve and solonoid you'll be pushing the $500 mark. That's pretty high.

BTW- which model # of the Parker valves would be the right one for the harris regulator? Does the valve go after or before the solonoid?

Thanks.

Solenoid - $50
Dwyer Flow meter - $35
Some brass hose barbs, etc. - $10

That's more what I'm shooting for. The other harris is nice, but $270 is a lot of cake.
