makes sense. I just re-did my plumbing too. Darn. Will have to do it again now if I decide to mimic yours and use the dart for everything. Easiest solution is to just run a mag 5 or something to the skimmer from the sump...then all I have to do is route the drain for the skimmer. Decisions decisions.

If your going to use a pump to feed the reeflo200 I would get a mag 7. But if possible I would suggest getting a dart and redo the plumbing. What are you running for a main pump right now?

Yes I will be using a pump of some sort. The ideal way would be using a Dart, but not sure the budget will allow right now. I am using a genx 40 for return so I don't think that is strong enough for the skimmer and everything else. Maybe it is??? Would save a lot of plumbing work that's for sure.

a genx 40 is just perfect to maintain flow to your tank but nothing else.

What about a T4 Velocity? I have that as a spare in case the Gen X grenades or something.

I heard the T4 can throw a ton of heat. I never owned one, but if this is the case I would keep it as the backup.
