There should be a removeable tube that connects the spraybar.Under this tube should be a removeable plate. On the bottom.

Lol...I'm sorry man...but I don't see any plate under the tube. Am I looking on the outside or the inside of the filter box? Btw...thank you for being so patient. You've been a great help!

My peguin filter has 2 spraybars and under each tube that supplied flow to them was a plate to direct flow to them. I had to lift them out and they looked like the bottom of the filter. If yours is differant then look for anything used for directing flow to these bars. Remove the tubes and bars and look on the bottom.

See...there is a tube, and on the outside of the filter is a little knob that you turn to direct the spray bar. If I pull out the bar, then water will come squirting out. I don't think it's really that big a deal. I have the spray bar aimed towards the back of the filter box and I don't hear anything.

Ok. I'll check on it. The 25% water change won't send my tank into a mini-cycle right?

Also, after I take the water out of my tank, could I use some of that water to do a water change in my QT? It's a 10 gallon so maybe I could use 2 gallons of DT water for it.
