I would advise that for your pocketbook's sake and any livestock you decide to obtain from this fish store that you have your book work done ahead of time and you be very measured in what advice if any you take in faith from this "good LFS".
Sorry to hear about your dilema. It's even worse since these fish apparently due to extreme diet and what is believed to be a unique migratory journey from fry to small fish. They cannot be live bred in captivity at this time and are a finite resource. Good Luck.

I agree... I saw the owner of the lfs here sell a big puffer and 3 cleaner shrimp to this guy with his wife and little kids. It's like hey, thanks for buying 60 bucks worth of puffer food... buddy. And, I hope your family enjoys the slaughter. I'm just saying... If they are going to sell a very tempermental and space demanding fish to an unexpecting guy with a small tank... they should do the right thing and take the fish back. Maybe with a small restocking fee or something.
