WOW MAN JUST WOW!!!

and did i mention - WOW?

awesome shots; some are very inspiring, and some are just truly amazing.

I have been trying to figure out a camera to buy for underwater photography. I have never done it before, but I would like to get some pics like yours as well as snap some while diving.

have u tested ur camera underwater anywhere other than ur tank?

and another question --- how do you take those shots and have em so clear as in not blurry; do you use flash?

still can't help but think about the post of a person w/ a snorkel on a chair w/ hands and head in the tank :P

anyways, sorry for my rambling and mad props

I have not tested the camera anywhere but the tank, the reason I bought it was 9 rolls of bad pics from my recent Hawaii vacation wasted a lot of money,To me it justified a new camera.
The mode on the camera is called Super Macro and The dial set to anti shake mode. Not all my pics have turned out out of say 200 this is what you get. Also the Ricordia is in my friends tank. Yes, I'm traveling around showing off my new camera.

How well does it work outside of water? Would it be a good all around camera to have?

Some photo were in tank some out like slightly grainy one of the vicious lionfish, Still getting the hang of the camera, it's quite new to me still. I've tried to do some wide shots (out) but you'll have to forgive me. Normally I only do shots at night when I don't get window glare, not to mention my fish don't come out of hiding after I clean the glass. First shot front wide, 2nd R side,3rd is back and usually I clean up back there,Like move the magnetic frag tray.Buy no means are these moneyshots.Hope they give you a better idea of the cameras capable of.

Olympus sales, don't be silly now. I'm a mudslinger, building big houses.
I've always loved the close shots. Matthew Garbario , Daniel Knop ,to name a few are inspiring. So when I tried to take a close shot with the camera well I'm a little blown away. Glad to hear you like and hopeful to get better.

So how close are you holding the camera to the object? Some of these are really excellent.

Man those are awesome!! too bad my clowns would bit my hands off if I did that. They would probably make me drop the camera and break it

You could drop it as many times as you want in the aquarium.

I'm in super macro mode on the camera and the flash does not turn on in that mode, but the camera has a small led that can be used "Macro LED". Most of the pics are in super macro with camera set on anti shake. Also some pics are in super macro with the camera set to underwater macro.
Most of the pics are taken at about 2" some in the 3 to 4 range, First pressing the shoot button halfway down will auto focus then fully pressed will finish the shot. That is where the anti shake or stabilize setting helps.
I'm running a Mac so the pics are going through iphoto and most are being cropped and then the noise slightly reduced also some pics esp super close I'm adj the sharpness taking out some of the blur. So I guess the camera is getting a little bit of help.
Dropping the camera should also not be a problem it comes with a sticker saying this is the strongest camera you'll ever buy.
Only problem seems to be the blue the lines on the clam, manderin, and my blue tang look funny to me, still working on it.
