ha... its more about learning and exploring my options at this point really. The point was to inquire and get some personal feedback about what is out there. Keep in mind I'm not quite handicapped yet as i have not made any decisions, more inqusitive I'd say I like to research till I'm blue in the face. From what I gathered they ( MSX and ATI ) are both mesh wheels, correct? I was looking for non-mesh wheel units that require no mods or maintenance on the wheels, but still can get the numbers?? Hence , my interest in the Octopus Pro...

Also, footprint is more of a concern right now as i will not be able to upgrade my sump size and the ATI appears to fit that bill , with the 7.5 x 8.5 x 20.1

The MSX200 looks like a great unit at a price, but i believe the footprint is too large for my sump.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Are the MSX particularly strong units?

The msx units are built solid. they are not as thick as a bermuda or BK, but are built nicely.

hahaha nice emoticon you got there...

if you want a Needle wheel,Octo pro is 500 but the guy who tested them for the company says they are not quite ready yet...

reeflo 200-(800bucks but will skim real well.)

my choice given your paremeters would be the DAS
Das ex 2 dual needlewheels around under 20w totall recirculating design and 800lPH of air.
