I've liked my seaclone, when I can keep it working. I have had a hard time getting keeping the airflow consistent.

I have a seaclone that I modifed myself. Seaclones do stink if your going for a big tank. I have a 30L and a sump and fuge, and this is what I did to mine. I necked down the maxijet with a 'reducer' and siliconed it in, then I took the inside tube of the collection cup and used a dremel to cut the riser tube in half. Now I get more foam, but i put a small wire across the collection cup tube to break up the foam, otherwise it comes up in one column and won't break apart. Don't get me wrong, I'm getting a real skimmer when I can afford it, but for now, the mods are working good. So cast you dispersions as you will, but for a 30L its more than sufficient.

I would use a Seaclone skimmer if I had a really big fuge, a plenum and really deep sandbed, and a Euro-Reef skimmer in the sump

Marine Solutions MSX... basically an ATI bubblemaster for half the price... Also, a member has been running tests on the MSX and ATI, and the MSX has been blowing out the ATI. I picked one up, and could not be happier with my investment.

My MSX 160 was only $300 and skims like a beast

I'm pulling at least this much every 3 days:

i put a sock onto the output but you skims like this and do you like this
I'm guessing the sock is to reduce bubbles from entering the display tank.

Is the fishing line similiar to a mesh mod?

What color is the skimmate you are pulling?
