What type of angel is it? My potters doesn't eat much prepared but cleans the walls of the display all day and it keeps her fat. Live brine may or may not do the trick, but it is a chance. It is a pain to grow them to adulthood. You are better off buying a whole bunch and feeding them from fish bowl or small tank with an airstone in it. The baby ones are probably too small and appeal more to anthias and chromis.

I believe his new fish is a juvenile Imperator Angelfish. Absolutely one of my other favorites next to the Blue Angel.

Yup it is an emperor. Pretty darn small too. I had some of the baby brine hatched last night and tried them, but he didn't take any of them.

Bill.

If you find out that the little guy does eat live brine and nothing else let me know. I had a large grow out system set up and fed live brine exclusively for several months. There's a bit (more like a lot!!) of work to it and that's why I stopped (not to mention there are more nutritious frozen foods), however if we can keep your angel alive on live brine until he/she adapts to frozen food it will be worth the trouble.

Thanks Jeremy. I'll let you know. if it works, i'd hope the brine would be a short term solution at best.

Growing brine long term to feed finicky fish is a huge endeavor and a real pita. When I was growing them I spent more time taking care of the brine than my tank!!
