I agree. The lingering copper ghost is somewhat myth. A well washed tank will usually have copper levels well below lethal concentrations.

I got a protein skimmer today. I have it running its a pryzym skimmer. Should there be foam comming out the top of the throat all the time. it says in the directing the water level should be below the first o ring on the throat of the skimmer. anyone own on of these?

The foam is the proteins being ejected from the tank. Less protein means less nitrogen load on the tank.
