maybe this is different?
does the water smell like bad seawater or more like fresh seawater? was the liverock fully cured when you put it in?or did you cycle it in your tank? i would add some sponge media and clean every day for a week and see where that gets you.if all your water parameters are good then that may mean your cycle is over so its safe to do water changes. mabe do a few of them along with running the sponge and it should clear up in a couple days. do you dose with any kind of phyto or anything?

it cycled, levels = ok
i'm in an algae bloom which may cause it but i'm not sure
new tank syndrome still boggles me :\
is it possible it can last this long?
i do have a decent bio-load which usually accellerates it
like i said... in my other tanks i didn't see this
....waiting it out......
i'll stay posted

the water does have a stink to it, but not too bad
i don't use sponges, i have a poly-filter pad and i use poly fill(polyester) media to catch debris, i also use chemi pure(supposedly clears water) and l/r rubble
in my opinion this filtration is very effective
yet my condition still exists
i added chaeto but thats only for nitrates even though they tested at 0
all my levels are PERFECT
which is weird :\
and my corals look like they are doing good
as well as all my other livestock
this is why i am stumped
i guess i will wait and see
