I can hear my Vortechs downstairs and my tank is upstairs when they are on pulse mode. The humming of tje motor is very noticeable when everything else is quiet at night.

Im thinking about tunzes for my new 180... however I dont think the magnets will work, I have 1" acrylic.. I had a 5 time replacement on the ecotech wetside on my 100 gallon..

The new Tunzes have magnets that will work on 1" on some models. One of the advantages of a Tunze is there are lots of ways to mount them. You dont have to use a magnet mount if that doesn't work for your setup..

Thanks sjm817... I have a 4" eurobrace on my 180... I know there is a bracket for the tunze, but I prefer a magnet if anything.

The 6205s have the bigger magnets for 1", The 6105 is good for 3/4". You can get the bigger magnets for the 6105s.
