NP...I've used one in the past on a 29 (Modded to fit the awkward 30" dimensions) and had no problems growing a few birds nest and some monits mid to high...

Milehigh, I'd suggest getting the same lighting for your frags as you have for your display, just a lower wattage. That way there is less of an adjustment period, and there will be an adjustment period from MH to T5 because T5's deliver light very differently than MH do. I like my T5's but corals can get very stressed by them if not acclimated slowly. I even have some corals that must have some shade of they lighten considerably. These same corals do just fine under 250w MH's in my other tank.
