I use coroplast velcro'd to the back

Coroplast is a corrugated plastic material. It is light weight and is excellent for low-cost short-term signs. It is 1/8" thick and it comes in any color you want. Mine is black.

You can get it from any plastic supplier where acrylic can be purchased, locally *DFW* such as Regal Plastics or Allied Plastics. Places like FastSigns will have it too, and probably places like Hobby Lobby as well.

You can get huge pieces for very little money.

The base color is white but can be coated-out with any vinyl color to provide almost any colored background. Because of it's translucent properties, it is not well suited for double sided signs unless it is coated-out. It is available up to 4' x 8' maximum size. Ideal for special events, directional signs and short-term sale and real estate signs.

Blue aquarium background held on the back rim of the tank with velcro running the entire length of the 3' tank. Easy to remove and clean the glass and background when necessary.

+1 for Window Tint... and I thought my idea was original! Works great though!
