Thanks for the bump!

Is this the wrong forum to be asking these kind of questions? Would the chemistry forum lead to more conclusive answers?

So since I can't edit my previous messege, I'll make a new post... Tested the water yet again and came back with the following results.

They seem to be getting better but any help would be appreciated.

Ammonia: .25
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5-10ppm
Calcium: 400ppm
PH: 8.-9
Phosphate: 0
KH: 8dKH

Salinity still remians at 1.025

I did a water change yesterday, and will do another tomorrow. It seem every two days will keep down my Ammonia levels enough that it won't stress the fish out, and everything else for that matter.

not sure what you want to hear tbh, if theres ammonia in the tank then a dead fish or the biological filtration isnt working well, keep up the water changes and the testing and things will improve, also your ph reading is confusing to me, perhaps you typed the reading wrongly.8-9 doesnt make sence

Yeah, I'm sorry it was a misprint.

The PH seems to be high. Above where it normally resides. I'll continue to do waterchanges, but is there anything that stimulates the filters for this tank.

I know there are bacterias, and what not for freshwater. But what about marine setups. I purchased both live rock, aswell as live sand. And used all of the pre-existing water from when I cleaned the tank previously.
