If I were doing something that detailed, I would definitely go to someone like Cook. I looked at all his work.... the octopus tattoos were sick...

This is obviously not reef tank related, but I saw a father and son on the beach in Maui years ago. They both had a tatoo of their family crest on the upper back. I thought, I am NOT a tatoo guy, but that right there is pretty cool!

Jw if anyone can direct me to a reputable site in which I can get a translation into symbols!

I just got this one 2 weeks ago. The pic isn't great but the color is a really nice, bright blue.

That's a pretty cool tattoo pjewett, it's almost like a tribal design, except it actually has something in it which makes it much cooler.

+1 on not doing any kanji.

Here's an outline on my thigh of a leafy sea dragon I've had for over a year. Getting it colored in soon and I'm going to add more eventually...

Wow, it's been almost 3 years since I posted on this thread- great timing (to me) in resurrecting it, because I'm heading in to start my first reef tattoo in a few years in just 12 hours

ImAFinAddict, I LOVE the sea dragon tattoo by the way! You'll have to post photos again after you get the color done.

Any other new reefer ink out there in the last few years..?

Last year, I got this one:

The year before, I got my first:

The weedy seadragon symbolizes fatherhood, while the pacific griant octopus symbolizes motherhood (ever heard the tale of Aurora the octopus?). The sargassum sleeve is loaded with critters, thus symbolizing my children.
