My RKL keeps the tank between 78.5 and 79.5 year 'round. In the winter when the house is cooler, the heater works more frequently and in the summer, the fan goes on more often.

I like to keep the tanks anywhere in the range of 79 to 82.

My Tank stays at 80 to 80.5 My heater is set to come on if the tank gets down to 78 That has never happened, and the main cooling fan comes on at 81 that has only happened a few times during the summer when we opened up the windows for fresh air. But my tank has not had any type of of big temp swing. we keep our house at 79 all year so I think that helps on keeping the temp in the tank stable. I use T5 lights that does have a small fan that runs when they come on I think that also helps out with the stable temp. I am in bed by the time the fuge/sump lights come on so I cant say that the main cooling fan may come on at night.
