i am currently running the 250 on my 90g and it works great. i do dose mb7 and biofuel, have a lot of fish(14-15) and feed two cubes of rinsed frozen a day.

i would get the 300.

People always say overkill, but I dont personally think its true.

I have a BK SM250 on a lightly stocked 120 for about 2 years now and it skimms great, about 1 full cup of very dark skimmate a week. And this skimmer is "overkill" for a 120.

I suppose its possible to get a skimmer that is too large for a system, but I doubt going from a 250 to a 300 is going to push you over the edge.

I suppose its possible to get a skimmer that is too large for a system, but I doubt going from a 250 to a 300 is going to push you over the edge.
