Most are doing very well. I have a Pink Monti Digi that has grown at least 5x's the size. All SPS have awesome polyp extension except for a Chips Acro frag that was under a frag rack for about 2 months, but I moved it to the top of the rocks and it's starting to extend the polyps pretty well. I do have hair algae on the back walls, but I have a Bi-Color Angel that keeps it from getting to long. I'd like to get rid of the Angler to get another algae eater, but for now I can't do it.
Thanks for the comment!

No idea on the quality of the water. I used to test, but haven't in over 2 years. Everything was growing great so I didn't see the need for testing.

I've had a few SPS corals for about 8 months and all have been doing well. Good color and polyp extension at night.

The concept of 10% change is the same no mater the size of the tank, the big difference could be bio-load / coral load per gal. I suspect that yours is low and mine is high, especially on the SPS side. I use a salt high in CA, ALK and Mg, I also top off with lime water and still have to dose Alk and calcium every three days and Mg monthly. I do 10 to 15% changes every 10 to 15 days. |
