I started this thread to get an idea what are the hardiest fishes out there and wanted to fill up my pretty empty tank. After reading this thread I bought myself a pair of royal grammas and a lionfish.

One of them seem to have ich so I am treating them with Cupramine. I didn't realise that my copper test kit is expired for some time. After 1 day of testing I realised that there is something wrong with the test kit. I finally got a new test kit just now and found out that my copper is at 1 ppm, twice the recommended dosage. The royal grammas are in there for almost 3 days but they seemed to look fine, the lionfish that I got the same day was dead on the second day.

This past Halloween my wife and I got home from a party at about 1am. Ten minutes later I heard a loud 'pop' from the living room. When I went to investigate I was treated to my 100gl reef draining through a crack that went the length of the bottom of the tank. I managed to save about 10 gallons of water in a large bucket, and tossed all the coral I could grab into a 37gl corner tank I was setting up at the time. It took about 5 minutes for that 100gl to empty. I don't even want to think what would have happened had I not had that empty tank waiting to finish its cycle, or if we had stayed at that party for another 20 minutes.

Dead: 2 firefish that hid under the biggest rock in the tank so i couldn't get to them before it was too late, several ricordia, mushrooms, two different birdsnest and others I still can't remember.

Survivors: Pair of Mated Clowns, Kohl Tang, YWG, Bangaii Cardinal, Madarin, and most of my softies and LPS.

Well, mine was recent. Short in Heater right after New Years. Did not pay attention. Almost everything dead or dying.
Survivors: A. ocellaris clown
Yellow tail damsel ( at least until he tried to boss around a couple of recent additions, but I suppose that was justifiable. Live like a damsel, die like a damsel. Actually, he was peaceful before the crash. But I digress..)
One section of my Red Favia..
The watermelon mushrooms, who are quickly recolonizing. These things are the ultimate survivors! Trying to get rid of them like I was? You have my sympathy.
