Re: Gin's 28 Nano Cube LED Build
Sorry about the delay. I'll have some update pictures later tonight. Seems it takes two weeks to get caught back up after taking a week vacation

Re: Gin's 28 Nano Cube LED Build
Pictures are going to be coming as soon as my new canopy arrives. the dawn/dusk and moonlight leds stopped working. It has been a bit of a battle with jbj to get this fixed, but hopefully they will finally support their product. Hopefully next week for pics.
Good work on the droid. I was suprised about the quality of pictures it takes. Its no canon but pretty serviceable. |

A bit of solidarity: My dawn/dusks died too.
In my case they sent me a new set of 4 blue LEDs and I swapped them out. The new LEDs have beefier heat sinks. They are a strange company to interact with but they sent the replacement LEDs promptly and an electronic shipping label so all I had to do was spend about 15 minutes with a screwdriver, drop the old LEDs in the box, print their return label and tape it to the box over the old label as I taped the box closed, and of course leave the box somewhere for UPS to collect. Then again I deal with stuff like that fairly often (a bit of a DIY type normally) so swapping the LEDs was easier than figuring out what to have for breakfast. |

Re: Gin's 28 Nano Cube LED Build
I dont mind the diy stuff either. This is the third problem I've had with this light fixture though. Hopefully this doesn't continue, there are certainly other led options out there. Does the blue stand out more with the new dawn/dusk lights?
I have had pretty good growth with these lights. The zoas have encrusted the rock they sit on, and some of the acros are showing new branches and encrusting over glued spots! |
