I would really like to see some more pictures and/or videos of this skimmer, im thinking about getting one myself.

Kato12 looks like your air hose is kinked. Sicce can run backwards that is one of their problems maybe plug it in an out a couple of times to see if it works better. Another problem with Sicce 2500 is restarting issues sometimes you have to blow into the air tube, try letting the air line suck in water and see if there is a difference on how the skimmer operates it should get only water going in there and not bubbles.

Your skimmer that you ordered is a in sump model not a HOB model Vertex are good skimmers, and they can be up graded nicely in the future if you so desire.
