Cut out the eggcrate before adding foam. Placed a old glass drinking cup with same diameter inside opening them sprayed the foam and let cure. When cured for 24 hours removed cup.

Noticed a few days ago that one of my cleaner shrimp is holding eggs. Now if the clowns start that would really make my day.

I tried to take pics but none of them were not clear enough to see the eggs.

I heard not many if any will survive without setting them up in a breeding system. I have already taken my filter sock off for the night as I anticipate for her to release them tonight. I can see little black dots in all of the eggs now(heart/eyes?). I'm hoping maybe a couple or one might make it in the refugium.
I also noticed the other shrimp carrying eggs as well.

Last night I spend about 4 hours sitting in my chair watching my shrimp releasing the shrimp babies. Unfortnatly, many of them lived a VERY short life as they were quickly consumed by the other fish.
She started releasing a few of them about 1/2 hour before the AI dimmed all the way to the moonlight cycle then it got hard to see as there was very little light. I was able to rig up our flash light with a red filter and watched the process that way. I know I could have turned the lighting dial up but I was afraid to spooking the shrimp and messing up the process. I am trying to get the video to load up but its taking some time. I will repost when I have it --uh flicker.......

Sorry that you cant see the eggs being released as it only a few in this shot. When the main birthing process was in full swing it was entirely to dark to capture footage. The red light flash light didn't provide enought light to make a good video. But it was a sight I am glad I stayed up to watch.
Cant get the video to load when the hubby gets up I will see if he can have better luck.-sorry 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000">

Dukeap-I ordered the light (AI) from Premium Aquatics. I got the Sunpod from a ebay seller.
Well I relieve I haven't updated in a while so I figured I would document the changes that have occured. -reaquascaped, got rid of the massive rock in the front. Made two arches that prop into the back wall. -Removed about 10 lbs of LR from sump to allow more room for the cheto to tumble and grow. -Added a few more acans, SPS frags and mushrooms -Added a Green Bubble Tip Anemone Sorry about the dirty glass and crappy photos. Waiting on my new Nibble to ship and well the camera I blame the operator (me) for not knowing how to use it and get the white balance right FTF: Left Acans Right side

Unfortunately, she's taking a break from SW, so I'm sure this tank looks much different ATM...

I have to admit, I miss my SW tank. Now that my life has settled down a bit I am 'thinking' about re creating the little tank. How I wish I won't have to start from scratch.....
Weighing the pro's and con's....

Hey Higgs83, Dan would divorce me if I rolled that huge tank into our new house. While it was a show stopper, I sure was big and way more than I want to take on.
I did however pickup a AIO 12 gallon of craigslist this morning for $50! Let the planning beginning....this is the best part!
