This is what I do, add water to bucket then drop a heater in their. Wait till the temperature matches with your tank then add the salt. I stir the water with my hand until I can't feel any salt anymore. Measure the specific gravity and then just dump it in. This only works if you have a small tank so your water change will not be like 10+ gallons where you can't stir the salt with your hands.

lol thanks I just recently set up my 58 g tank agian now I will only add salt to water from now on cant say that about the initial fill but hey everything is doing fine
