i never as owner of lfs tell people to put fish in right off the bat !
i have little pouch i give them with raw shrimp in it and tell them put it in for 4 days to 5 days and brang me a water test !
then we go from there !

even with 15 pounds of live rock there will be some sort of a cycle.it's an ecosystem and it has to stabilze.you should leave it alone for a couple of weeks or u will end up with a big cyano outbreak.

It is very odd to argue with individuals who have been in the hobby for years and decades. If one ask a question then one must be prepared to accept an answer.

I compare this to my 9 year old sister who argues with me about how to spell 'nutrients' when helping her study for her spelling test.

Even with cured rock you run a heftly rift of late damage. My LFS wouldn't sell my anything until my tank hit 3 weeks and my nitrate levels came down.
