Sweet set up. I am following. I am a big fan of LED lights. I like the adjustability of them as well as they run a lot cooler and consume less power.

Yeah, I'm really on the fence between MH/T5 and LED but I'm leaning toward the MH/T5 for the simple fact that I already have 3 ballasts, I can get a new Hamilton 6ft fixture without ballasts for a reasonable price and with my Apex I can control it almost as well as an LED. But what brings me back is heat, in a small enclosed space heat management will be important. I have a large bathroom fan installed and it'll be set to turn on with temperature and humidity (figuring out the dual action now) and with a couple of fan mounted on the tank I should be able to keep things cool enough.
I've got a time to decide, I'll put water in it over the break to start the cycle and I'm not going to rush into it so I've got a coupe of months at least before I need lights. For Humidity and Temp control I picked up these: Humidity Control - http://www.ink-bird.com/products-hum...er-ihc200.html Temp Control - http://www.ink-bird.com/products-tem...er-itc308.html I sell them in my home brew store and have used them before, they're good enough to trigger fans as a backup to my apex.

Let there be water! All right, it's only fresh water for a leak / pump test, but it's been running for 24 hours and it's still holding and working. Not bad for being stagnant for so long. I've got to adjust my return flow as the Dart pump is way too much for the 2" stand-pipe but that's easy. The Loc-Lines are not for flow but just water return
I also picked up some salt for the tank cycle, I know I could've got cheaper salt but after a good chat with my LFS I went with the coral pro. Since I own a store I might just open an account and buy a pallet-load of salt, also I'm lazy. Finally I unearthed the skimmer I bought for this project. An older Reef Octopus Extreme 250 with dual pumps. Haven't plugged in the pumps yet but they are clean and ready to go. I did soak everything in vinegar before I shelved the project (everything except the skimmer body). Now I just have to remember how to set one of these things up!
