Chaeto is dying back, I will be going to lowes/home depot to search for a 5000K light with more wattage if I can find it.

i dont have good luck w growing cheato either but i know it should be sucking up my nutrients. i run my light on the same schedule as my DT lights, one reason is because my tank is BB and i dont want the cheato light spilling into my DT

Picked up a new light at home depot to day, it is a 27 watt CFL with 1400 lumen and 5500K. The packaging says that it is like natural light, full spectrum. It is much brighter that the previous bulb. Hope it work. Will post results in a week or less.

5500K bulb is what I used when I ran a fuge. Just make sure the chaeto has good flow. You can also manually flip it over every few days/once a week,

The full spectrum 5500k bulb I picked up at HD has done the trick. Cheato is growing well. Thanks all.

Good to hear is growing. Just keep in mind that if the GFO lowers the PO4 too low, your cheato may stop growing again. I think that's where I'm at.
